Welcome to Unicon!
This year, the roleplaying clubs of Melbourne and Monash Universities have
once again
combined to present XXXX tabletop and XXXX freeform roleplaying tournaments.
This booklet provides information about Unicon, and contains all that you
need to register for the convention.
Unicon is to be held at the University of Melbourne, Parkville, from
Friday October 2nd until Sunday October 4th. Players can register
at any time during the convention, or preferably, by pre-registration prior
to the convention.
Tournaments are run in 3 hour sessions, which are scheduled
to start 3 hours apart. Sessions start at 9 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m.
and 7 p.m. There are two sessions on Friday, four on Saturday, and

Entry and registration
Players can register at any time during the convention, or preferably,
by pre-registration before the convention.
Everyone must register with the convention before they can enter any
of the tournaments. Unicon is Melbourne's cheapest gaming convention.
Convention registration is only $5 and tournaments cost $2 per session.
Entries received after the 5th of September, or on the day will also
incur a $3 late feel. All pre-convention entries should be posted to:

Please do not
send cash through the post.
Although entry to tournaments is filled on a "first come, first served"
basis, every effort will be made both before and during the convention
to help you play what you'd like to play when you'd like to play it. While
team entry is preferred, individuals who enter team events will be grouped
together into teams to the best ability of the tournament convention organisers.

Where and when
Unicon will be at Union House, the University of Melbourne, Parkville,
from Friday October 2nd until Sunday October 4th, Melways ref 2B D:6. The
convention desk will be on the second floor. The tournaments will be held
in rooms in the same building. Signs and banners will direct you to the
convention areas.
Some Parking is available on the university grounds for a small fee.
Public transport going to the university is readily available, including
all the Swanston St. trams, such as 1,15,21 and 22. Public transport is
available until around midnight.
Convention rules
We ask that you adhere to the following rules during the convention:

No weapons, real or imitation, are to be brought to, worn or carried during
the convention.

No smoking inside any of the buildings.

No alcohol on the site.

Respect the premises, the other players, the GMs and organisers.
Food and drinks
Food and drinks will be available from a canteen, and a barbecue lunch
may be available on Saturday and Sunday, depending on the weather.
