What is UniCon?
UniCon is a co-production of the Infinite Images Roleplaying club (Melbourne University) and the Monash University Roleplayers. UniCon has been running since 1997, and aims to provide a chance for new authors to try writing and running a convention scenario, as well as a chance for new players to come and try out the convention scene.
General Information
UniCon III will be held in the Old Arts building at Melbourne University. (Melways ref 2B D:6). The convention runs from midday Friday the 1st of October, where you will be able to register and confirm your games, until late on Sunday the 3rd, when the prizegiving ceremony will wrap up the Con.
The UniCon website (http://yoyo.cc.monash.edu.au/~murp/unicon/) will be frequently updated as the Con approaches, with news of any additional events, or changes to the convention that might affect you - visit it often to make sure you don't miss out on the latest news and information.
Entry and registration
Everyone must register with the convention before they can enter any of the tournaments. UniCon is Melbourne's cheapest gaming convention - this year we are asking for a donation from players to cover our costs. Everyone who attends the convention will be asked to donate $5 to the convention, plus $2 for each session they attend. This money is to cover the costs of running the convention.
Registration will open at midday on the Friday, but players can register at any time during the convention. Pre-registration prior to the convention is available, either via the entry form in this booklet, or from the UniCon website.

Cheques should be made out to Monash University Roleplayers. Do not send cash through the post.
Although entry to tournaments is filled on a "first come, first served" basis, every effort will be made both before and during the convention to help you play what you'd like to play when you'd like to play it. While team entry is preferred, individuals who enter team events will be grouped together into teams to the best ability of the tournament convention organisers.

This emergency phone has been provided by CONVICT (CONventioneers of VICToria). CONVICT is an informal collective of Victorian Games Convention organisers and other involved individuals. It has been created to foster and promote cooperation and communication between Victorian Games Conventions.
Visitors
Visitors are welcome during the convention, and do not need to pre-register. Visitors are asked to donate a gold coin towards the convention.

Food and drinks
Food and drinks will be available from a canteen, and a barbecue lunch may be available on Saturday and Sunday.
