Tom Wark

Rusty Sponk productions consists of Nicole Eckersley and Tom Wark, who formed to make their debut as writers for Conquest 1999, after endeavouring to create a 25 player character/horror/plot intensive freeform about a group of irritating Californian 12 years olds, under the working title of 'Cthulhu Does Sweet Valley'. The freeform's name was changed to 'Sweet Valley Twins: The Big Slumber Party' to protect the innocent, and in spite of Tsathoggua infesting the fairy bread, the cup cakes - and the freeform itself - were well received by the players.

Rumour has it that Tom has previously written for Conquest, presenting 'The Happy Little Elves' back in 1997, however he denies responsibility and puts the whole episode down to an extended encounter with a group of lost faeries.

Tom was born a deformed freak with a tongue too long to fit in his mouth. His parents decided not to sell him to the circus, but went for the pinking shears option instead. Tom has now revelled in true freakish nature by growing to his full height of six foot four, speaking with a lithp, dying his hair red, getting the aforesaid tongue pierced, being the most intimidating uncoordinated thing on eight wheels, and last but not least: roleplaying. He is far too proud of work on Sweet Valley freeform, and vows to take his Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles scenario to a con 'some day'.

Tom's hobbies include watching anime videos until 7am with Nicole, rollerblading down Bridge Rd at 4am with a long coat and a Darth Maul lightsabre, doing experiments with his dogs and his tamagotchi to see which will die first if he doesn't feed either of them, sculpting his life in the image of Harley Stone from 'Split Second' and buying lots of things he can't afford.

Oh, yes, and most importantly - he likes horses. On Sundays he tends to disappear to South Gippsland and take his 17 hand thoroughbred horse, Charlie, to Pony Club, where he socialises with ponies and 12 year old girls. He denies any connection between this and his Sweet Valley freeform.

This year, Tom is presenting Anime "Free for All" (with Luke Coughlan) and Tiny Teddies Go To War (with Nicole Eckersley).
