Memory Lost
by Richard Canning

    It began as an idea.
Then it was a concept, then an outline, then a plan, then a scheme, then a project.
Eventually it was a world within a universe.

You were there for it all, and when it was complete,
you wrote yourselves into it's history.

You were never aware of the plot.

How do you repair a broken Universe?
H ow do you find the flaws in creation?

A single session game for 5 players, by Richard Canning.

They're Off
presented by Richard Canning & Sara Hanson

Anticipation filled the air as they gathered at the track, some because they were invited, some because they were not. The battered turf of the common had seen better days, its mangy condition echoing that of many of its guests.

A down-at-heel Earl, a country Bishop, a prepossessing madam, a wealthy trader, a pieman, beggarman and thief, all the usual suspects. A great opportunity to improve on the hand life had dealt you to date.

The mounts moved uneasily in their stalls, their coats glossy with the dew of early morning fog, the jockeys only slightly more high-strung than their charges. A low murmuring filtered through to the stables.

The thin wintery sunshine shone across the park. On the other side of the oozing watercourse, which fed into the great river Thames, the distant form of the Tower of London could just be seen through the haze of pollution.

As the fog burned off under the late morning sun, the small crowd pricked up its interest as the steward guided the starters to their gates. A day at the races was like no other experience on God's green earth.

There is one thing an observer could be sure of, and that there was definitely no mistake when the race caller yelled...
