1614: Richard IV ascends the throne of Avalon.
1622: Richard IV asks the Hierophant for permission to divorce his wife. The Hierophant refuses and Richard passes the Act of Supremacy in retaliation. The act creates the new Church of Avalon, with the Avalon king at its head. This upsets the balance of power in the Vaticine Church. Castille and Vodacce, the primary Vaticine States, are not impressed.
1650: Richard dies leaving no obvious heir to the throne of Avalon, a young church struggling for power and numerous enemies.
The court is under siege as those in contention for the throne flock to the capital. One wrong word will throw the country into a state of war.
